Hi, I'm Jessica Shafer, the owner, editor, and writer at Far and Loud Communication Services. I am a firm believer that every business has a unique message, and I am committed to partnering with each client to bring out their voice and achieve the best results possible.

I began freelancing in editing and writing in 2016, after I left a career as a human resources professional in the financial services sector. I have worked with businesses, individuals, academic writers, and nonprofits, and I'm an active member of the Editorial Freelancers Association and ACES: The Society for Editing. I have a Professional Writing Certificate from UC Berkeley Extension, and I love taking courses to further my professional development. I live in tiny-but-beautiful Rhode Island with my husband, two sons, and feline office mate, Smokey.
